Comments Off on Thursday Night Ride #6: Riverdale, Corktown, and Cabbagetown On our final scheduled Thursday Night Ride of 2013, we’ll snake through though quiet streets and laneways of Riverdale, Corktown, and Cabbagetown on a route based largely on two of Graeme Parry’s laneway tours. If you can’t make this week’s ride, we highly recommend joining Graeme on one of his tours this summer.
Meet at the East York Community Centre at the corner of Pape and Torrens Avenues on Thursday, July 4 at 6:15 p.m. The ride leaves at 6:30 p.m. rain or shine, but will be cancelled if thunderstorms are likely. Email info@29bikes.ca before 5:00 p.m. on Thursday if you want confirmation of the status of the ride; final determination will be made by 5:30 p.m. The final route may change depending on weather, surface conditions, construction, and other factors.
You should bring:
- a bike in good working order,
- clothing appropriate for the weather,
- a bottle of water,
- money for refreshments after the ride,
- lights for the late-evening ride home, and
- TTC fare in case you get tired and need a lift home.
