We had lots of fun joining Ward 29 bikes for the parade. We'll have to do figure eights next year.
Thank you.

Hi:
Sorry I missed your ride Thursday evening. I didn't read carefully and went to the East York Civic Centre for 6:15 pm. When no-one showed there I went west on Sammon to Pape and north to Cosburn; couldn't remember exactly where the East York Community Centre was. I then went on my own 2.5 hour ride along Cosburn to Broadview to Pottery Road, down into valley - a fast ride; north on Don Valley trail looking for you; then south on Don Valley trail to Lakeshore, east to Leslie and south into Leslie Spit and then back home up Leslie, west to Jones, north to Danforth, north on Donlands, east on Strathmore, home to Danforth at Glebemount. Didn't get the socializing but did do about 38 km, a good workout for me - haven't been riding much. I will try to make the July 12 ride.
Thanks for organizing.

There aren't really any bike-friendly access points closer than the two you mentioned. There's a long staircase leading into Taylor Creek Park from the back of Cullen Bryant Park at Coxwell Blvd. and Taylor Drive (follow Coxwell north of O'Connor and take the first right). Unfortunately, there are no wheel gutters for pushing a bike up or down the stairs, so it's a long hard climb with a bike on your shoulder. I've done it before and it's not what I'd call fun.

The only other possibility is to ride down Don Mills Road from O'Connor to the park entrance just after the DVP ramps. But that's a pretty hairy ride down Don Mills for cyclists.

Quick question, not sure where to ask. I live near O'Connor and Coxwell. I work at Don Mills and Eglinton. Is there a more direct way to get into the valley without going west to Beechwood or East to Taylor Creek? I'm directly below it and I'm stumped! I've tried riding the roads and it's thoroughly unpleasant.

Thanks for bringing this issue to attention of the Voters. Here you see consensus on the importance of cycling, yet our Government still does not do enough to produce real changes. Initiatives like this can help make that change!
Thanks for all that you do for Canada.
